Simon led the programme as Managing Director of Silverwing Advisory Services, the lead firm in the engagement, with a team of 21 Silverwing professionals delivering the programme alongside three specialists from a partner firm. The programme identified approximately US$ 300 million in measurable operational and financial improvements for the client.
Structured across three integrated workstreams, bottom-up workforce engagement and capability development, top-down operational and leadership improvement, and a governance and change management framework reporting directly to a transformation SteerCo, the programme spanned the full scope of mining operations: load and haul, drill and blast, technical services, training capability, management operating systems, organisational health and leadership development. More than 1,700 workers were engaged across the operation.
Simon directed the full programme, with full accountability for delivery across all workstreams, and driving measurable outcomes across a large, remote and multicultural operating environment.
